With their 3 hectares overlooking the Dordogne river ![]()
will be the privileged place for a nice walk for grown-ups and kids. Varied ponds, quiet waters, soft murmuring cascades, amazing plants and rich colours... 16 species of lotus coming from
America and Asia: all contribute to the creation of a very original garden (Lotus flowers can be seen from June to October 15.). |

|
You'll be amazed by the breathtaking beauty of the flowers (they can be 2 meters high!), the hydrophobic leaves and their diamond water pearls....
You'll be surprised by the seed receptacles looking like watering can roses (seeds can keep their germinal power during 1,000 years!). You'll admire the incredible frogs leaping from leaf to leaf or simply sunbathing on lotus leaves. ![]() |

The Jardins d'Eau can also be proud of their incredible collection of nympheas and exotic nympheas. These flowers
have nothing comparable with the common water lily. They grow higher, display pastel to blue-violet colours, marbled leaves, and blossom
very long (if you take them inside in November, they can even blossom in December.).
In our ponds, you'll also see immersed plants (Sagittaria, Pontederia, Caltha, Glyceria), banks plants (Gunnera, Hosta, Iris, Lobelia... not forgetting the genuine Nile Papyrus. James Brydon |
![]() This garden has been created in respect of the natural spot: it overlooks the Dordogne river, faces the Druids' forest, and the beautiful and picturesque village of Turnac. |
